Billboard becomes a personal game

DDB Stockholm produced this fun interactive billboard for McDonald's that broadcasts personal games and drives participants to restaurants. People join the game by accessing a mobile-ready website from their smartphone and choosing the prize they'd like to win. Once the game begins, the smartphone becomes a pong controller and the billboard becomes a giant pong screen. Winners receive coupons on their smartphone to redeem in nearby restaurants. Unlike similar campaigns, the barrier to consumer engagement is low as there's no app download required.

Japanese agency Hakuhodo came up with a great idea to make some noise for their little know guitar manufacturer, Smash. The idea was to create a product, guitars that you could smash like a rockstar. The really cool bit was that the core stayed intact. You sent it back to the manufacturer and they’d replace it with a new, cheap outer shell. The agency then produced a series of Youtube clips of girls smashing the guitars. What’s not to like?

75 Years Old and Proud of It

It’s often the case that the older you get, the less you feel like celebrating another birthday. But at 75 years young, Klosters stood out loud and proud with its birthday celebrations.

Peach honoured the proud tradition that is Klosters with a multi faceted campaign promoting special birthday savings across the nine brands and over 300 used cars that make up the group. We also took the opportunity to increase awareness about the government’s 50% tax break for ABN holders – to get in now, or miss out.

HMRI cocktail party

Last night Peach hosted the HMRI Foundation, its researchers and supporters in its new offices overlooking the working harbour in Wickham.

Around 80 people celebrated the achievements of PULSE in its efforts to raise money for early career medical researchers.

Award-winning early career researcher, Dr Jodie Simpson shared the amazing work she and her team have achieved for increased understanding and prevention of Asthma. HMRI also took the opportunity to launch a new book called, "From Ideas to Discovery," which celebrates the achievements of PULSE and the careers of the region's early career medical reserachers.

Peach also announced that over an 11 year partnership, it has supported HMRI to the tune of over $200,000.

Peach's latest campaign for Kloster Motor Group was not just another Ruddy sale.

It was not JUST a killer catalogue inserted via major regional and select local media twice in the same week.....

...but an integrated approach with a dedicated microsite at www.ruddysale.com.au...

..driving traffic with strategically placed print, online and radio advertising....

...plus instore branding across Kloster sites and utilising electronic direct mail (EDM) to the Kloster database.

One of the most exciting things about integrated campaigns across traditional and electronic media is the ability to track and analyse the audience’s response.

Instantly we can see that on the day the EDM was distributed, 72% of traffic to www.ruddysale.com.au was direct traffic.

Overall, 30% of traffic to www.ruddysale.com.au so far has been generated from referring sites that hold campaign advertising and 10% of traffic has been generated through search engines.

We can also tell when pages were visited, and the average time people spent looking around on each page, even what browser they’re using! This all builds on our understanding of what the audience wants, when and how. This ensures that every campaign is more successful than the last.

Following eight months of research and planning, Peach has just launched the very first step in a complete strategic repositioning of the well-known entertainment brand, completing a revamp of the Panthers group online presence.

Peach’s digital marketing team has just launched the new online communication for Panthers, including 17 websites for , all linked by the central Panther’s brand.

The results are in from the first radio rating survey of 2009.

NXFM took the number one spot overall and dominated in most of the demographic splits and key programming times.

NXFM is number one with the following age groups:
- 10-17
- 18-24
- 25-39

NXFM is also the number one station across breakfast, morning (shared with KOFM in a dead heat), afternoon and drive programming.

If you want to reach those aged 40-54, don’t look past 2KO and, although not part of the survey, we know that listeners over 40 also tune into 2NURFM. Most 55-64 year olds are tuning into 2HD.

KOFM was number one with grocery buyers, just in front of 2HD.

Not good news for NEWFM though, as even the ABC and TripleJ outperformed them in all categories.

The Newcastle Knights Defenders of the Kingdom campaign was first shown on NBN News, and sent the station's website into meltdown with over 500 views in the first 30 seconds. Since then, the series has gone onto YouTube and racked up over 5000 views.

THE LOWDOWN

Dee has worked on and off with Peach for a number of years.
An English teacher by trade, Dee sold out and joined the advertising world in 1995.
She has been winner or finalist at almost all major awards, including Cannes, New York International, Caxtons and Folio.
Dee has worked on some of Australia’s major brands including the Commonwealth Bank, HSBC, Johnson & Johnson, Nikon, Rexona, Flora – the list is endless

You don't know? That's Mike Preston, Peach's creative director.

Mike has international experience with major agencies in the UK and Sydney including Clemenger BBDO and George Patterson, working big brands including MLC, Sony and NatWest.
More recently, Mike has been the creative force behind campaigns such as WorkCover NSW Fluro Friday, the ‘Defend Your Kindgom’ campaign for the Newcastle Knights and Kloster Automotive Group’s February activity, which delivered a huge 30% increase in sales on the previous period and the highest website traffic in over a year.
Mike has won gold, silver and bronze accolades at some of the most prestigious creative awards, including AWARD (Australian Writers and Art Directors), the British Design & Art Direction award (D & AD) and recognition on the international stage at Cannes Lions.
